S 33 55.385 E 018 25.195Old Town House is a stately town house bordering the Greenmarket Square, built in 1755 in the Cape Rococo style. It has served a variety of municipal functions, including a lengthy reign as Cape Town's City Hall from 1840-1905. Today it houses the Michaelis Collection 17th century Dutch paintings donated by Sir Max Michaelis in 1914.
