Carfax is the city's most popluar big club. It's situated on a side street just off of Mary Fitzgerald Square and surrounded by industrial garages and machine shops. The club is only open when there is an event, so call in advance. When it is open, the street outside is fenced off and becomes a parking lot, while multiple DJs, often from local radio stations, move the trendy crowd on the dance floors. Be prepared to fork over a big cover charge.
