Gemini Backpackers is a laidback backpackers' haven composed of six buildings surrounding a palm tree shaded swimming pool. There are two kitchens (with a gas-fired clay oven for pizzas), a braai area, bar, game room, and a TV lounge with a few hundred DVDs and a few computers with free Internet. The yard gives it less of an urban feeling than most backpackers in Joburg, and it has free shuttle service to/from the Eastgate mall, but the place could use a few updates.
