Kippies Jazz is a famous jazz institution with a life-size bronze statue of saxophone player Kippie Moeketsi, who the club is named after. Back in the day, Kippies put itself on the world map for hosting protest performances during Apartheid. The building just finished with a fresh remodeling job in 2009 but still draws the same old jazz lovers and top notch performers.
