Cathedral Peak Nature Reserve is popular among backpackers and rock climbers and is dominated by the Cathedral range, also known as the Ridge of the Horns. There are numerous hiking trails that start from around the Didima Camp and head up into the mountains past waterfalls. One of the more difficult climbs is to the top of Cathedral Peak. Hikers should stop at the main office to register and get maps and advice on a specific route before heading out. Shorter guided walks can also be arranged (R70/person, R250 minimum). The Didima Rock Art Center (036-488-1332, 8am-4pm, adult R50, child R25) is located at the main office with a fascinating 20-minute multimedia presentation on the history and lives of the San people.
