Cango Caves are a 2-km-long series of underground caverns, which have formed over the past 20 million years from rainwater dissolving limestone rock into intricate caverns and passageways. They offer a standard tour through the caves starting every hour from 9am-4pm. The adventure tour departs hourly from 9:30am-3:30pm, but you must be "fit, lean and flexible" to go on the adventure tour, which involves crawling through small rock passages - unfit and overweight individuals are explicitly not allowed on the adventure tour as people have become stuck in the narrow passages. If you are unsure if you will physically fit through the narrow passages, there are life-size displays of the holes that you will have to crawl through. No cameras or bags are allowed on the adventure tour. Inside the main entrance building there are displays and a short video on the formation of the caves. There is also a restaurant at the facility that overlooks the surrounding mountains.
